Homestays in Exeter

Despite the size of the room, there was everything I needed: en-suite bathroom, comfy bed, bedside table, kettle with tea, desk and chair. Everything was very clean. I really liked the bed linen and towels provided, and the fact that the room bin had separate sections for general and recyclable waste. The shower was great: clean, good water pressure, perfect temperature adjustment, plenty of shower gel and shampoo. I didn't try the hair dryer but there was one. Only two hangers for jacket/coat (no closet), but I think it's enough for a single room. The big window lets in a lot of light, it's double glazed so it's good for heat/cold and noise insulation, and it's got opaque glass so you don't have to close the curtains if you need privacy (considering the room is on ground floor). There was a cute little radio that I enjoyed using when unwinding. The location is very quiet (residential next to a church) and convenient; reaching the train station or the cathedral it's pretty easy and fast by foot. The staff was very accomodating, as I had arranged for a late check-in and early check-out and everything was carried out smoothly.

Great location with amazing sunset views from flat 4 on the top floor. The stairs are tight but manageable with a recovering broken leg and a heavy suitcase.

Angela and Edouard are fantastic hosts and very welcoming. The appartement is beautiful (the room and the shared spaces). The opportunity to have a parking place nearby was very convenient and the breakfast at the ivy, very pleasant.

Tony and Christine are lovely hosts. The room is modern and the bed was comfortable. Tony helped with carrying a larger suitcase up and down the stairs to the loft room. The continental breakfast provided was very good.
