We offer two great, value for money Austrian chalets which provide a great location for both summer and winter activities. Woodyard 1 is a 3 bedroom property with a large terrace. This chalet can accommodate up to 13 guests (using two sofa beds which are within the bedrooms) Woodyard 2 has 2 bedrooms and views of the mountains. This property can host up to 8 guests (with 3 people using a double and single sofa bed in the living room). Please note that Piesendorf Municipal require a Tourist Tax charge for each person over the age of 15 years old for each night they stay. A link for this will be provided following booking.

We have both been keen skiers since our early teens and love Piesendorf as it really does have it all. Neill fell in love with Austria when he first visited with his school at age 11. In his early 20's he became a ski instructor so that he could spend more time in the mountains. Ali started a little later when she visited Austria with a friend at the age of 18. She has been back many times since and loves having a house here and being able to share this wonderful place with friends and family.

Piesendorf is a beautiful village with everything you need. Locally there is a bakery, post office, grocery store and pharmacy all within a few minutes walk. There is a superb 'gastof' where typically Austrian food is served and more recently, an Italian Pizzeria has opened which serves delicious Italian pizza's (with a take away service available). The local outdoor village swimming pool is only 10 minutes walk away, this is seasonal and entry is available for a small fee. Locals are friendly and welcoming and always ready to say hello. We are close to some of the best skiing in the Alps. Situated 3000m above sea level, Zell am See, Kaprun and the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. The glacier provides guaranteed skiing even if the alps are having a bad winter for snow. The closest ski lift to the chalet is Kaprun which is a 10 minute drive in a car or there is a ski bus available 2 minutes walk from the house. Other places near by are: Kitzbueh- 40 mins, Mittersil lifts - 30 mins, Bad Gatstein - 40 mins, Salbach - 30 mins, Maria Alm (3 valleys) - 30 mins, Weissee Glacier - 20 mins. Plus many other smaller resorts close by. In July, you can ski on the glacier in the morning and be sunbathing by the local pool in the afternoon! A great place to spend sunny days is by the huge lake at Zell am See. With little beaches situated around the lake, it's great for swimming and kayaking. Cyclists and walkers love the beautiful scenery of the local area and the variety of long flat roads and climbing mountains.
