Welcome to Bromwich! We offer two well appointed Queen bedrooms each with their own facilities and a guest lounge with refrigerator, ideal for two couples. For breakfast there are a selection of fine eateries in town only a 4 minutes easy stroll from Bromwich. They provide delicious coffees, cooked breakfasts, brunches, snacks and the Blackwood Hotel is the perfect place for lunch or dinner with a gourmet food menu and selection of beers and fine wines. Bromwich was built in the late 1800’s by the family who first discovered gold in Blackwood! It is the finest Victorian double fronted home remaining from the gold era and has been sensitively updated to provide all the comforts of home. Our internet service is good and our town spring water is treated by ultra violet and is perfectly safe for drinking straight from the tap! Also our hot water can be extremely HOT so be aware! We also have a very sensitive septic system, so please nothing other than toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilet. Relax on the front verandah and watch the world go by or take one of the many walking trails eg. the great dividing trail goes straight past the front door! Visit the beautiful Garden of St Erth and fine cafe open for breakfast, coffee, lunch & afternoon tea. Check out the Mineral Springs park with its soda springs, swimming holes and picnic areas along the Lerdederg River. Also the large registered Pine tree at the beautiful Cricket ground reserve and Oak tree next to the Pub! Just a selection of ways to spend a few days in town!

Welcome to Bromwich, we hope you will enjoy your stay! As you will see from the board in front, Bromwich is on the market! We are opening up Bromwich again after a break of 15 years, offering accommodation, this time without the breakfast! During 15 years of running Bed and Breakfast previously (before the internet and mobile phone coverage), Bromwich was also our family home to myself and husband Nick and our two boys, and more recently to our son’s families who are now settled into their own homes. It has come time we feel, to downsize and give Bromwich a new lease and while on the market open up for short term rentals! With Blackwood town now bustling with life providing a great community for young families and alike, we are thrilled to be able to share the property with you and bring life back to the ‘old girl’ in her full splendor! Each town has an array of Markets, galleries, shops and eateries and easy connection via Calder and Western freeways and train stations at Ballan and Woodend to Melbourne.
