Mistwood is a place of peace and tranquility amidst the trees. If you're an artist, writer, musician, or creative type of any description, this is the property to replenish your senses. Its also a perfect place for families and friends to escape the crazy pace of urban life; soak in the sounds of the birds chirping, the aroma of the abundant flowers and the calm of 180-degree views of nothing but forest. You may even get a friendly visit from a wallaby, kangaroo or the resident wombat.
We’ve gotten to know the Macedon Ranges over the years on our weekend visits, completely fallen in love with it and recently made the move from Geelong to Mount Macedon. We lovingly established Mistwood for others to use as a warm, comfortable and welcoming base from which to explore this beautiful region and/or simply have a momentary break from the mad rush of life.
Mistwood is located in Mount Macedon Victoria Australia. The Macedon Ranges is known for its expansive native forests, vibrant arts scene, thriving food and wine industries (including weekly farmers’ markets) and numerous natural attractions, all within an hour proximity of Melbourne. There is ample parking for up to 3 cars at the property. The nearest train station is in Macedon, approx 5 mins drive away and around 50 mins from Melbournes Southern Cross railway station. There are many scenic walking routes nearby.
