Torquay is a seaside town at the east end of the Great Ocean Road coastal drive, southwest of Melbourne, Australia. It’s known for surf beaches Bells Beach and Jan Juc Beach. The Surf Coast Walk trail starts at Point Impossible Beach and heads southwest via Point Danger Marine Sanctuary, with its limestone reef and sea slugs. In town, the Australian National Surfing Museum displays surf memorabilia. Torquay is known as the 'Surf Capital of Australia' and the town contains numerous businesses and manufacturers related to the pastime who have long been sponsors of the Easter surfing championships at Bells Beach. Torquay is also a popular fishing spot. There are horse trail rides available along either the beach or bushland. There are a number of berry farms and farmers market cafes as well as beautiful wineries to visit.
