Our apartments are located in Schattenhalb, opposite Meiringen on the Aareschlucht. The Aareschlucht is only 1km from our home and from the apartment and studio you have a view on the Reichenbach waterfall. Our house was built in 1970, we completely renovated it in 2022, so that the rooms, kitchens and bathrooms are modernly furnished. Our homes have been lovingly renovated and furnished by ourselves. We have provided comfortable beds and have equipped the kitchens with all the necessities. From the balcony and terrace you have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and a view of the Reichenbach. In the basement there are many facilities for our guests. There is a ski room with enough space for skis and snowboards and the ski boots can be dried. In the bicycle cellar there is plenty of space for racing bikes, mountain bikes and there are tools and cleaning materials available for bicycle maintenance. There is a washing machine and dryer available in the laundry room. In addition, there is a complete wellness area with relaxation area, sauna and outdoor whirlpool. Separate bathroom and shower are available for a real wellness experience. For the children we have made a nice playground with a rocket, a marble track and a large trampoline. In the winter we have snowshoes and sleds available for rent As your host and also mountain guide I also offer walks, trail runs and snowshoe walks. I can tell you everything about our area and give you tips about beautiful places, nice routes, cool climbing spots and fun outings.

I am an athlete, especially a runner, cyclist and ski tourer. I am in the mountains as often as possible, where I like to guide everyone who comes to visit. I am always enthusiastic to tell you where to go, what are nice walks or trail runs and what you really should not miss. I can accompany you as a guide, or send you on a nice route. I am always willing to give you information and help you on your way.

From the front door you can visit the Aareschlucht, the Reichenbach waterfall and Meiringen with many activities. 900 meters from the house the ski lift goes directly up to the Hasliberg, with a beautiful ski area in the winter and beautiful hiking trails in the summer. On the other side you can go up to the Reichenbach and further into the Rosenlauital up to the grosse Scheidegg. Great to reach on foot or by bike with a view directly to the Eiger Nordface. Meiringen has a lot to offer. It is a small village, but with all facilities you need. There are 2 large supermarkets for your daily shopping. if these are closed you can always go to the Landi. In addition, there are many nice little shops for vegetables, clothing, souvenirs, a good bike shop and nice cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is even a small cinema and in the winter there is an ice rink on casinoplatz. There is often something to do in the village because many events are organized by the very active population. The Aareschlucht, Reichenbach and the Alpbach alone are more than worth a visit to Meiringen. Also other fun activities are not far away such as Balllenberg and Trauffer erlebniswelt, the Giessbach waterfalls, the brienzersee, brienzerrothorn and a little further interlaken and grindelwald. In the other direction towards innertkirchen you can go up the sustenpas and the grimselpas to also find and experience a beautiful mountain world there.
