Beautiful picturesque farm cottage, superbly located. A fresh bottle of milk in the fridge on check-in and shortbread cookies are a wonderful touch.

The location was superb with lots of amenities within a short drive. There were also lots of options for eating out near by. The host provided fresh bottled milk in the fridge which really amplified the country/farm setting.

Neighborhood info

1 Homepiece is a barn conversion on a working farm in Broad Campden which is a small and very pretty village one and a half miles (and an easy walk) from Chipping Campden. Broad Campden is a small Cotswold village, in Gloucestershire, with a population of fewer than 100 inhabitants. The "p" in the name is silent, in the same way as their much larger and more famous neighbour Chipping Campden. Campden is thought to originate from a Saxon phrase meaning, “Valley with fields.” Broad Campden houses are generally built from the traditional, local honey-coloured Cotswold stone and may have thatched roof's. The Cotswolds is a rural area of south central England covering parts of 6 counties, notably Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. Its rolling hills and grassland harbour thatched medieval villages, churches and stately homes. The Cotswolds are famous for the honey-hued stone architecture. The golden colour of the buildings adds so much charm to the already very pretty towns and villages. The 102-mile Cotswold Way walking trail follows the Cotswold Edge escarpment from Bath in the south to Chipping Campden in the north. Why is it called the Cotswolds? The meaning of the word 'Cotswolds'. '
