This charming detached holiday cottage (max 4 adults) enjoys a peaceful location, less than 5 minutes walk to Pitlochry`s main street. Originally built in the 1880’s Victorian era, Ard Darach Cottage was previously the stables of the main house, but has been lovingly restored by the owners to offer spacious and welcoming self-catering accommodation. The cottage is in a private residential area, in a lovely part of the town, surrounded by Victorian villas. Roe deer and red squirrels frequent the garden on a daily basis, so there is a very good chance you will spot these during your stay. A surprisingly large and well equipped kitchen (Oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine) with dining table seating 4. The attractive lounge has comfortable seating and exposed feature stone walls, Smart TV, CD/Bluetooth All in One Hi-Fi, a piano and board games for evening entertainment. Also on the ground floor is a very generously sized bathroom with a bath and separate large shower. A wooden staircase leads up from the lounge to the 2 bedrooms (1x double, 1x kingsize/twin). Outside is parking for 2 cars (the drive is shared with the main house opposite).
It's great to welcome guests to our beautiful cottage, where they can make themselves feel at home. We are happy to provide ideas for you during your stay - there's so much to do.... but also lots of relaxing places to eat / drink / wander round the shops and grab a coffee and homemade cake from a variety of places - all within a 5 minute walk of the cottage.
The cottage is in a private residential area, in a lovely part of the town, surrounded by Victorian villas. Roe deer and red squirrels frequent the garden on a daily basis, so there is a very good chance you will spot these during your stay. There are many fantastic walks straight from the doorstep. Pitlochry Golf Course is a 5 minute walk away. Skiing is available at Aviemore (Cairngorm) and also Glenshee, both approximately 1hrs drive from the cottage. For outdoor enthusiasts, there's so much to do - walking, cycling, golfing and fishing - even bungy jumping and canyoning at nearby Killiecrankie. However all the shops / cafes / restaurants are within a short walk if you prefer to relax locally. All bedding and towels are supplied. WiFi, heating and electric are included
