A garden home, with private front & side entrance, space, light and characterful comfort. Recently refurbished. Pocket sprung king size mattress, quality bed linen , pillows and lined curtains ensure a comfortable sleep. The living space with garden access, is light in summer and cosy in winter with a new 5KW wood burner - the space has a thermal door curtain and is easily kept warm. CH cast iron rads throughout . Lightening fibre BB, a dedicated work area with multiple sockets and charging points makes a practical work retreat. NO TV - instead, a digital projector, via which guests can screen large any DVD from the library, stream any Film & show on Netflix or Amazon Prime(FREE content only), alternatively guests can sign into their own preferred online streaming service. Many art books. Utility room with drying racks, and outside drying lines, makes a longer stay easy. Outside area has comfortable chairs and table, sun/rain umbrella, sink with hose and warm water tap for after beach clean up of boots, feet, dogs etc. Free street parking and just a 5 minute walk from West St.Leonards station. A 1 minute stroll across the greens of Grosvenor Gardens to the beach for swimming, low tide walks, and the promenade for walking to the Old Town East or Bexhill West. Drinking, dinning, grocery shopping options are just minutes away.

Welcome to Artists Seaside Sanctuary. I work as a Scenic artist in Film/TV/Theatre/Circus. My interests are in the creative arts in general - Fine Art, world/independent cinema in particular, which is reflected in the books and DVD's available for my guests to enjoy. Outside of guests stays, I do live at the property and hope that my furnishings and fixtures imbue the property with a personal and homely feel, which I am happy to share with you. I wish you a relaxing and comfortable stay by the sea.

The property is well located for a quieter beach in high season , just out of the throng, yet just a short walking distance from the shopping/gastro hub of St.Leonards around Norman Road or Hastings Old Town. Being opposite Grosvenor gardens with its public bowling green and lawns with the beach just beyond those, it is ideal for easy strolling to take an impromptu swim, a longer sandy low tide walk or bites at the Bathing Hut Cafe. The summer 5K saturday morning run starts and finishes on the seafront here. 100 metres away is a parade of shops including an excellent green grocer and butcher, a convenience store, post office, pharmacy, chinese restaurant and the Bo Peep pub. 15 mins walk beyond these shops is Aldi supermarket. 100metres in the other direction from the property is the Marina Fountain pub.
