A beautiful, extremely old building (circa1800) built from the recovered stone from the original roman wall which once surrounded the roman fortress. In the heart of the historic village of Caerleon this property is perfectly situated for some beautiful walking or history seekers as well as close to major motorway links and public transport for those attending events in Cardiff, Bristol, Monmouth or even further afield. Due to the age of the building and the lane down which it is situated there is NO ONSITE PARKING. There is on street parking to three roads which surround the property. Paid parking at the Bull Pub (free if you have a drink and enter your reg)

Originally from South Africa, I now live in this beautiful village and believe that everyone should come here at least once. The history is quite breathtaking and the people are definitely the friendliest that you are ever going to meet. I walk my dog around the village daily and am almost always popping in for a coffee in one of the many lovely coffee shops or for a pint in one of the many pubs.

The village of Caerleon was originally a roman fortress over 2000 years ago. There is so much history to explore on your own or with your family and dogs. The remains of the roman Baracks as well as the remains of the amphitheatre are definitely something that needs to be seen. There is a roman legion museum in the village as well as an immersive experience museum of the roman baths. A very friendly village with plenty of place to eat, many coffee shops and even more pubs. All the pubs and most of the coffee shops are welcoming of dogs and well behaved owners. We have excellent links to the motorway putting us right in the centre of Bristol, Cardiff as well as Monmouth and Abergavenny so attending sporting events and concerts as well as exploring further afield is never going to be a problem being situated so perfectly central to everything.
