Set over 3 floors to give amazing views over the village this cottage is really a must stay location when visiting the North Cotswolds. Beautifully renovated, its retains all the features of a cotswold cottage while providing all the modern amenities for your comfort. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, the second floor Kingsize with en-suite walk-in shower and Smart TV, the second bedroom, a double, is on the first floor along with he family bathroom with shower over the bath. There is also a first floor "Snug" for those lazy afternoons just sat looking at the view or reading with a glass of something. The kitchen is fully fitted including a dishwasher and a coffee machine ( Krups ). For those cosy evenings there is a log burner in the lounge with a few logs available for your first fire ( Nov - Apr ) with more logs available to purchase locally if required. There is a rear garden terrace for you to enjoy some time outside for your morning coffee or evening glass of something! Bed linen and towels are all provided for you. Stairs are steep as they usually are in old cottages like this so please be aware. The local pubs are good as well as the renowned Blockley Cafe which does amazing food.

Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswold which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café. There are plenty of walks across marvellous countryside, including the Monarch’s Way and the Heart of England Way. Blockley lies between Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden, which have quality shops, pubs and restaurants. Visit Sezincote Gardens, the Cotswold Farm Park, Batsford Arboretum and Falconry Centre and Sudeley Castle. Blockley's award winning shop and Cafe are a 5 minute walk from the cottage. The village pub is also only a short walk away. Blockley bears some resemblance to the villages of the Stroud valley but the stone much more golden in colour. During the eighteenth century when the wool industry was in decline, cotswold cottages in Blockley turned to silk production. By 1884 six silk mills powered by the fast-flowing Blockley brook provided work for about 600 people preparing silk for ribbon-making factories in Coventry. This small centre of industry began to decline after 1860 when the levy on imported silk was imposed. The village of Blockley is a unique collection of buildings reflecting its past glory of mills and silk production and is quite different in character to other north Cotswolds villages.
