Bargate Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and a washing machine in the utility space, along with a sitting room with woodburning stove and TV. The bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, and WC, a double with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, and bidet WC, and a twin. There is also a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, shower over, basin, and WC. Gas central heating, WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent, along with a starter pack for the woodburning stove. Outside, there is designated off-road parking for 1 car, a front non-enclosed patio, and a rear non-enclosed multi-level garden with patio, furniture, mature shrubs, summer house, bar, and fire pit. The picturesque village of Castleton nestles in the beautiful Esk Valley, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this bustling village offers superb amenities including two pubs, both serving great food, a convenience store, deli & tea rooms. There is a railway station serving the Esk Valley and Whitby, which also links with the steam line to the attractive market town of Pickering. The Camphill Village Trust community of Botton is nearby, with its craft workshops and shops selling home produced food, craft items and books. The historic city of York is just over an hour away, and the coastal towns and villages of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay and Sandsend with its lovely beach, are within easy driving distance, and well worth a visit.
