Barn Cottage is a detached cottage in beautiful remote countryside near Tarr Steps, a mile from the Somerset village of Hawkridge. The cottage sleeps eight people in five bedrooms over two floors: two first floor doubles and a twin with bathroom, and two second floor doubles (one can convert to twin) with bathroom. On the ground floor are a kitchen with breakfast table, a sitting room with open fire and a shower room. Outside is a peaceful enclosed garden with woodland views. Barn Cottage is a marvellous cottage for a tranquil or active Somerset holiday. Note: 20 per pet per week supplement charge. Dulverton is the southern gateway to the Exmoor National Park, a small town standing between the rivers Barle and Exe, which meet further down the valley. Dulverton has some quaint narrow streets weaving between fine Victorian buildings and a three arched bridge crossing the river leading to riverside walks.
