Chestnut, Maple and Cherry are three quality self-catering holiday cottages , each sleeping four, situated in quiet Wiltshire countryside close to the historic National Trust village of Lacock and about 12 miles from the World Heritage City of Bath. The architect-designed holiday cottages are located in the grounds of our own barn, and feature exposed oak beams, a galleried upper twin bedroom as well as a downstairs double bedroom and shower room. The stairs to the upper bedroom are extremely steep with a handrail on either side and a narrow tread. Each comfortable cottage is modern and tastefully furnished and has its own small patio area. The cottages are alongside each other with Cherry at one end and Chestnut the other. Each cottage has a tiled, open plan kitchen, living and dining area giving a light and airy feel. There are French doors at the front of each, opening out on to a small patio area with garden furniture. There is plenty of off street parking and free wifi. Barn Cottages at Lacock is ideally situated to explore Wiltshire and the Cotswolds or visit Stonehenge, Avebury, Longleat, Malmesbury, Corsham or Bradford-on-Avon. There are excellent transport links by road and train from Chippenham to Oxford, London, Salisbury, Bristol and Bath

We moved from London in the early 1990s after finding this spot which had a derelict barn and outbuildings on it. After converting the Barn into our family home we opened the cottages in 2006. We enjoy racket sports, walking and being outdoors.

We are situated up a quiet country lane but within easy reach of all the facilities you need ( supermarkets, towns, rail links) We are close to Lacock, which is a completely unspoilt National Trust village with an Abbey, pubs,restaurant and tea rooms. You may have seen Lacock in the Harry Potter films or Wolf Hall,Downton ,Cranford or many other films and TV programmes that need an authentic ,picturesque village backdrop. Modern life is catered for though as there are large supermarkets a couple of miles away and we are within easy reach of Corsham ( now known for Poldark and Rivals ) and Chippenham where you can get trains to Bristol,Oxford and London We are also an easy journey into Bath with its Roman and Georgian splendour
