Hi, I'm Claire. I've owned my chalet for ten years and just started renting in 2018. I've got 3 boys who spend many amazing holidays in Deal. What I love about Kingsdown is the complete seclusion of the site giving the kids freedom to go and do their own thing. Tree climbing, den building, fishing and football are our top priorities here and at the end of the day, they love to go and collect firewood to cook dinner outside and toast marshmallows with new found friends. I look forward to hosting you soon so you can start your own amazing adventure here in our little haven on the clifftop.
Property info
The chalet has three bedrooms sleeping 6 in total. There's a superking bed downstairs which can be split into two twins and two twin bedrooms upstairs which are open plan. Upstairs there's a small toilet separating the two rooms. Downstairs, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a washer/dryer, a further full sized bathroom, a dining room and a cozy lounge. Please feel free to bring your own travel cot and stair gates. Outside there is an area for dining. Sun loungers are provided. Please note that the staircase is steep.
Neighborhood info
In Kingsdown village there are 3 pubs, a butcher, a beauty salon and a post office/general store. Alternatively, you can walk into Deal in about 45 minutes. There are buses and taxis available if you don't fancy the walk. In Deal you will find all the usual attractions of a bustling market town. There is a market on Wednesday and Saturday. It's also possible to walk to St Margaret's over the cliffs which is a beautiful walk but not for the faint hearted. There you will find more pubs and a little shop in the village and a tearoom and a pub on the beach. If you want to get in the car, our favourite seaside towns of Sandwich, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate are a short drive away. Inland there's magical Canterbury waiting for you to explore. Shoppers will love Ashford Designer Outlet and wildlife fans will adore visiting our many zoos such as Howletts, Wingham and Port Lympne. Further field, you can hop on the train to London or catch a ferry to France. We truly do have something for everyone here. Drop me a message if you have any questions before you book.
