Company info

My name is Anthony Miller and I own and run Belmont B&B with my wife Anne. As well as the B&B business I'm also a photographer. When time allows I'm always roaming the beautiful landscape around here taking pictures. I still use traditional film cameras and print in the darkroom. Anne, my wife, also runs an upholstery business and teaches upholstery classes through the winter months. We also offer weekend and residential workshops in both photography and upholstery.

Property info

Our property is an 18th century cottage and former farmstead. The outbuildings are where we have our workshops and also a photography gallery. We bought the building in 2012 and spent a year renovating it. We installed all modern services whilst retaining the original features and character of the property

Neighborhood info

We are lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world - on the edge of the North York Moors in the North of England. Our property is centrally located for the city of York, the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough and the many small villages and market towns that make up this diverse area. For a photographer, like myself, the landscape and coast throughout the different seasons provide an ever-changing and wonderful subject that I never tire of photographing. We have a local pub which is well frequented by visitors and locals alike and a golf course in nearby Kirkbymoorside.
