Brackenbrae is a spacious three bedroom cottage in the heart of beautiful Acharacle. It comprises of two twin rooms and one double room with en-suite bathroom; there is also a separate bathroom with toilet, shower and bath. It features a spacious kitchen and large living area with views over Loch Shiel and a sizeable garden Our local shop and hotel; which has a public bar and restaurant; are only a 5 minute walk from the cottage as is our local playpark. Acharacle is the perfect place for those who wish to unwind in beautiful scenery among friendly people. Dogs are welcome at Brackenbrae although a fee may be applicable. Please message any enquiries. Our area has a wealth of attractions for visitors. We are of course located on the banks of Loch Shiel where the incredible Harry Potter was filmed. An hours drive from the cottage is Glenfinnan Monument and visitor centre where you can witness the Jacobite steam train in all its glory on the viaduct or why not treat yourself to a journey on the train itself from Fort William! Closer to home we have Loch Shiel Cruises which you can board at Acharacle pier; a 5 minute walk from the cottage and partake in their eagle watch cruise, we are blessed to have these wonderful birds nesting on the loch so sightings are more common than not. Heading down the peninsula we have the Ardnamurchan Distillery who provide exceptional whisky tours, Ardnamurchan natural history visitor centre where you can explore the peninsulas rich history and enjoy their loch view tearoom. At the most westerly point of the British mainland; at the end of the peninsula; is the Ardnamurchan lighthouse and café. From the village itself we are a mere stones throw from Dorlin and Castle Tioram, a stunning ruined castle which is situated on Dorlin beach, a must see for all visitors.
