Monmouth Retreat is one of our two-bedroom cottages, perfect for up to 4 guests (plus cots). It is the far-right cottage in the image (end of terrace). Inside, you’ll find contemporary furnishings including modern sofas, a fireplace, and soft lighting, combining style with comfort. From the living room, step out onto a stone-paved patio—ideal for sunset drinks or for watching little ones play while enjoying the views. This self-catering holiday cottage has two bedrooms: one king and one twin, both located on the first floor. There is also a family bathroom with contemporary fittings, including a bath with overhead shower, wash basin, and toilet. Each cottage features a stylish, contemporary kitchen with granite worktops and is fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, and full-size fridge/freezer. You’ll also find a hob, oven, and all necessary cookware, crockery, and glassware. The open-plan lounge and dining area includes underfloor heating, an electric fire, and a SMART TV for relaxing days or cosy evenings in. We are proud to be baby-friendly. As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of the right equipment to make your stay feel like a home from home. Please let us know your requirements before arrival, and we can provide wooden cots for younger babies, travel cots for older babies, bed guards, high chairs, sterilisers, changing mats, and stair gates. A separate laundry building is available on request, offering washing machines and dryers for all cottage guests. All cottages also benefit from wireless broadband. Please note that smoking and pets are not permitted. Our cottages provide a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the local area, including visits to Longleat Safari Park. Whether you’re planning a week-long stay to explore Somerset or a short break for a visit to Longleat, we look forward to welcoming you. Set within four acres of grounds, there is plenty of open grass for BBQs and ball games at By The Byre....

A short ten-minute drive brings you to Longleat House and Safari Park, where guests of By The Byre enjoy 20% off a one-day ticket.
