Sid and I have lovingly restored this old granary into a modern studio and feel privileged that we can share this stunning area with you.
Property info
Captains Lookout, is a great hideaway for short stays. It has a fabulous view onto the Welsh Countryside and canal. It is set by a canal boat marina so great for boat watching. It is up some stone steps which was the old granary attached to the Farm. Being a flat there is no allocated out door space.
It is modern, but full of charm with small mezzanine (careful of the dutch stairs). It has a small kitchenette (no oven), perfect for a mini break for preparing simple meals or storing your nibbles and wine. The bathroom has a large walk in shower.
The area attracts many walkers and cyclist all year round. The local pub is a short 30 minute walk along the tow path from the studio.
Neighborhood info
We are smack bang in the middle of the Brecon Beacons National Park, so there isn’t much not to love. We are surrounded by green fields but only 10 minutes from Brecon town for topping up on supplies.
Top attraction are the Waterfalls in Ystradfellte, walking Pen y fan, canoeing on the Wye or visiting the Big Pit in Blaenavon.
