"Casa Mar Bella" is a beautifully appointed, large, Georgian terraced townhouse, 2 minutes away from Ramsgate's sandy beach and the historic Royal Harbour. It accommodates up to 11 people with 5 spacious, double bedrooms. It is perfect for large family gatherings with plenty of reception space.

We love the house and location, and would live there in a shot, other than the fact that our children are settled at schools in Canterbury. So, not wishing to be normal landlords, we find that letting the house as a holiday home works for us. We visit before and after every guest, and are very hands on with the running of the house. All of our guests to date have thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we take great pride in that.

The immediate neighbourhood is a truly unique and wonderful place. The house is part of a terrace of 14 houses which date from 1750. Everybody rubs along really well and the local residents have the friendly, relaxed attitude that comes with living by the sea - perhaps the sea air and big skies have something to do with it! The Terrace is yards from the beach and right beside Ramsgate's "cafe culture", yet is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Ramsgate is a remarkable town and definitely on the "up-and-coming" list, as more and more of the historic houses get renovated and restored to their former glory. There is a great Friday market, tons of quirky shops, eateries and pubs, and these are 10 minutes walk from the house. Further afield, for serious shoppers, is the Westwood Cross retail park; the charming seaside resort of Broadstairs and the buzzing Margate with its huge sandy beach, The Turner Contemporary Art Gallery and its arts and antiques quarter. Or you could take a walk along the many quieter beaches, bays and coves that run all around this beautiful stretch of coastline, for example Joss Bay.
