The Yorkshire Dales National Park offers so much to explore, and even with the pooch in tow, many shops and pubs are dog-friendly and extremely accommodating. The surrounding towns of Richmond, Masham and Leyburn are each incredibly dog-friendly so there is no need to leave your 4-legged friend at home when staying in the pet-friendly lodges at Brompton Lakes! Further Afield Richmond Castle is sited on a rocky promontory above the River Swale, and among the oldest Norman stone fortresses in England. We recommend The Station, with its artisan bakery, independent two-screen cinema, brewery and art gallery. A countryside break is the perfect treat for an excitable pup (as well as excitable kids!).
