Located just over 30 minutes from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow on the train and only a short drive from the Borders. Country Nest is located in the semi-rural village of Carnwath so come and experience the countryside with village charm. Our home is ideal for families or couples looking for a break away in the beautiful countryside. You can snuggle up in front of our fire or relax in our garden. On the door step you will find a bakery, grocery shops, pharmacy, take-away. Country Nest has two bedrooms that hold five guests. The main bedroom has a king sized bed with plenty of natural day light. The second room has a bunk bed, made up of a double bed at the bottom and a single bed on top. For the wee one, you will find a travel cot ready for use and can be set up in either room. When the Scottish sun shines you can unwind on our outside terrace or chill out on the grass. Country Nest's main door is located on the busy Main Road going through Carnwath. Parking is available across the road from the main door, or further up the street, depending on parking availability. Although the front of our house is on the Main street our bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen are all located at the back and much quieter part of the house. Please note we no longer accept pets with bookings.

Hi, we are a family with two girls. My girls are young and love to travel with my wife and I around Europe staying in holiday lets. We've learnt over the years what a holiday let should have. I have over 25 years experience working in the hospitality industry, running some fine and some fast venues around the world. I have attention to detail and enjoy hosting people in my own home. I enjoy fine wines and with a local supplier we can supply quality wine to you on holiday. My family and I hope you enjoy our own holiday home.

Enjoy countryside walks around the village, a freshly made pie in the local bakery or how about a round of golf in Carnwaths 18 hole golf club. All within minutes walk from the door of Country Nest. For the fisherman, grab a permit in the pub next door and venture out to the river Clyde for the day. For the more adventurous take a trip to Edinburgh and Glasgow, both only 30-40 mins away on the train. Nearby the historic towns of Biggar and Lanark are only 15min drive away.
