The hotel is on beautiful grounds, with amazing view to the hills. Room was nice, basic but had everything we needed. Really enjoyed our breakfast- food was delicious. We liked that we had a pot of tea and coffee on our table to enjoy.

All the staff were very attentive, nothing was a bother. We were late arriving, the kitchen stayed open to allow us to have dinner, which was lovely as usual. great breakfast too.

A lovely friendly picturesque town, river Tweed running through it. A nice selection of shops, plenty of eating places. A good flat main street, not hilly, and not too far from Edinburgh. Has a lovely little theatre.

Peebles town centre beautiful, lots of traditional style...

Peebles town centre beautiful, lots of traditional style shops, restaurants, and wide streets. Beautiful and tranquil walks along the River Tweed, very near Stobo castle spa, Dawyeck Gardens and many more places of interest. John Buchan museum on the High Street, free entry, and lots of very old books by the author available to buy for a few pounds. Shop and restaurants staff all very friendly and upbeat.

i like the area and river walks along with seating here and...

i like the area and river walks along with seating here and there for a rest. there is a swimming pool for those who may want to take a child. this is a great start to Dawick and Kailsie gardens to visit and Stobo Castle for a visit. there is time to shop and find a present and a large car park along by the river to stay a while. i enjoy the slow pace and relaxation when i visit the town of Peebles. there are walks for those who wish to explore more of the area and shops to provide clothing to suit. there is something for all age groups in Peebles and if you are elderly you will just enjoy being in Peebles Town and Country side as it is a famous must visit with seating areas out side your Hotels to people watch while you have lunch and meet friends. The view from the apartment is superb.

The view from the apartment is superb. You could sit all day and watch the world go by. The apartment is so spacious and clean. And nearby shops and eating places make it so much nicer for an all round holiday. We're booked to come back later on in the year - that's how good it is! But don't tell everyone!!!

A lovely market town with loads of independent shops, nice coffee shops and a couple of decent pubs for food Main Street easily walkable in 15-20 mins The Horseshoe-Bar in Eddleston (5 miles) definitely worth a visit A couple of parks and a nice river walk to complete your day Good parking options just off the Main Street too........and cheap

Peebles is a beautiful little town, well worth a visit to admire the scenery. There are some unique and interesting shops in the High Street. I am fortunate to have a friend who now lives there, so I will be back.

Location was good and hotel is what you would expect from a 2 star hotel.Easy check in and a private car park at back,which is a must in Peebles.Breakfast was good and the fry up freshly made.Loved the fried eggs and mushrooms.The price was very competitive with other hotels(Barony castle hotel was almost £165 for one night and similar standard of hotel.double in price in last few years).

A wonderful stay! ​We had a lovely time at Barony Castle Hotel. The location is absolutely great with spectacular surroundings. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. On top of that, the food was great! Highly recommend.

Great location in Tweed valley- under 5 mins walk to Peebles high street and the Tescos. Easy to get to from Edinburgh on X62 bus that runs every 30 mins. Property was spacious, warm and felt like a wee sanctuary for a family of four
