We've welcomed guests to Crafnant House since 2017 and are passionate about wonderful North Wales. We live on site with Bryn, our friendly Golden Retriever, and are always around to help and assist you should you need anything. We like to think we provide a relaxed but comfortable atmosphere akin to staying with friends rather than being anonymous in a hotel. We'll happily advise you on what to see and do and can definitely help you with what memorable experiences are available. As keen cyclists and walkers we'll also happily recommend places to go on foot or two wheels, along with a cafe recommendation or two!

Property info

Crafnant House is our bed and breakfast in the village of Trefriw, near Betws-y-Coed. Our beautiful Victorian home is decorated in a modern, boutique style with lots of interesting touches, whilst respecting its history and period features. Off-street car parking is available on site, along with bike storage and washing facilities, and we have two guest lounges and a large garden for you to relax in. Breakfast is an important part of your stay with us so it is always cooked to order using fresh local produce whenever possible. Sausage and bacon comes from our village butchers opposite, coffee is roasted in nearby Llandudno by Heartland Coffi and our bread and jams are homemade by Jasmine. We also offer our popular ‘daily specials’ as an alternative if you fancy something different, such as french toast, pancakes, and fresh waffles!

Neighborhood info

We are situated in the heart of the village next to the Old Ship pub (it has reopened in 2026 after renovation and serves great food) and opposite our village butchers. For eating out our village has another pub (The Fairy Falls), two restaurants (Chandlers Brasserie and at The Princes Arms hotel), along with a great cafe (Caffi Doti) - all are just a short walk away from Crafnant House. Other pubs and restaurants can be found in nearby Llanwrst and Betws-y-Coed. Trefriw is a scenic, charming and unspoilt traditional Welsh village in beautiful Eryri | Snowdonia, yet has easy access to all of the attractions in North Wales such as Betws-y-Coed, the historic town of Conwy, the seaside town of Llandudno, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Zip World attractions, beaches and coastline, Bodnant Garden, Portmeirion, Anglesey, and more!
