Farleigh Lodge is the middle lodge on our site and is the one closest to our cottages. It features a beautiful combination of natural cedar cladding, full-height windows, and oak flooring, creating a bright and contemporary countryside retreat near Longleat. The lodge offers generous and flexible accommodation, including a spacious master bedroom with en-suite, a large double/twin second bedroom, a third twin bedroom, and a family bathroom. Farleigh Lodge features a fully integrated kitchen with cooker, induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, providing everything you need within a spacious open-plan living area. Solar panels and underfloor heating ensure a comfortable and environmentally conscious stay in rural Somerset. Our lodges are comfortably furnished with quality contemporary furniture, crisp white bed linen, and fluffy towels. Guests can enjoy modern entertainment facilities including flat-screen SMART TVs, wireless Bluetooth speakers, and upgraded broadband access. Each lodge also benefits from its own private patio. We are proud to be baby-friendly and understand the importance of thoughtful extras that make your stay feel like a home from home. Less than three miles away is the vibrant town of Frome. With its historic buildings and beautiful independent shops, alongside a thriving contemporary arts scene, it has been highlighted as one of the ‘Best Places to Live in Britain’ by The Times. Frome is also the original Somerset Market Town, and this tradition continues today with regular weekly markets and, on the first Sunday of each month during the summer, ‘The Frome Independent’ - a mini festival bringing together the best artisan food and drink, artists and designers, local produce, plants, home wares and street entertainment. A ten minute drive takes you to the famous Longleat House and Safari Park for which the owners of By The Byre are able to offer their guests a 20% discount on a one day ticket. The splendid Georgian City of Bath with its museums, street cafes, boutiques and Roman baths is 12 miles away, and within easy reach by car are a number of visitor attractions such as Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge, and historic towns including Bradford on Avon, Glastonbury and Wells.
