Our aim is to make your stay as smooth and relaxed as possible, whether that’s a short break or a longer visit. The cottages are set within the grounds of a Christian retreat centre, which contributes to an overall atmosphere that is quiet, respectful, and unhurried. Guests often appreciate the sense of calm, alongside a warm and down-to-earth approach from our team.

WELCOME to Glyndley Manor Cottages – a peaceful collection of self-catering cottages in the East Sussex countryside, ideal for both relaxing breaks and longer stays. Whether you’re planning a short escape or need a comfortable base for a longer period, our cottages are available year-round. Guests often stay with us while relocating, during home renovations or insurance work, or when working in the area. For stays of a month or more, we recommend contacting us directly, as we can often offer additional availability and tailored options beyond what is shown online. Selected cottages welcome one dog by prior arrangement (a fee applies). As not all cottages are dog-friendly and availability is limited, it’s important to check with us before booking to ensure the most suitable cottage is reserved for your stay. During the summer months, guests can enjoy our outdoor swimming pool – a popular feature for families and a perfect way to relax in warmer weather (minimum of two people present at all times for safety). Additional onsite facilities include free Wi-Fi, a guest launderette and drying area, and an Information Centre to help you settle in and make the most of your stay. Set within a quiet rural estate just 6 miles from Eastbourne and close to the South Downs National Park, the cottages offer a balance of countryside calm and easy access to the coast, local towns, and transport links, including Polegate station just 1.5 miles away.

Glyndley Manor Cottages are well placed for exploring the East Sussex countryside and coastline, with a variety of landscapes and days out within easy reach. The South Downs National Park, Seven Sisters cliffs, and Ashdown Forest are all a short drive away, offering everything from coastal walks to open heathland and woodland trails. Closer to home, guests can step directly onto local footpaths connecting to the Cuckoo Trail - a traffic-free route ideal for walking and cycling through the countryside. We are also conveniently located near Polegate station (1.5 miles), providing easy rail access to Eastbourne, Brighton, and beyond.
