Set in the heart of the Wiltshire Countryside & on the cusp of The Cotswolds, you will find Great Ashley Farm a 4th generation working farm & the perfect destination from which to enjoy the natural beauty of the English countryside, abundant with wildlife, offering fresh air and relaxation Welcome to Great Ashley Farm is very secluded and set in woodland just minutes from Bath and Bradford on Avon, whether you’re staying at our holiday cottage ‘Wisteria End’ adjoining the farmhouse or retreating to the peaceful seclusion of our shepherds huts, The Tup and The Teaser you will be located 1.5 miles from the Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon and 5 miles from the stunning city of Bath From Spring 2026 we will be opening ‘Wisteria End’ a charming one bedroom cottage located next to the farmhouse. Along with our shepherds hut, each conveys a sense of character & individuality offering a home from home feeling and they all have everything you need for a memorable stay. You can expect lovely soft furnishings, stylish decor, ensuite shower rooms and a private entrance that lets you enjoy your own space or time together with your partner, family or friends
Great Ashley Farm is a 4th generation working family owned beef farm.
There is so much to see and do in the area. The magnificent City of Bath is less than 6 miles by car or there is an excellent train from our beautiful Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon less than 2 miles with it's Tithe Barn, independent shops and cafes, The Shambles, The Kennet and Avon Canal and Saxon Church. Great Chalfield Manor ( National Trust ) Lacock and Lacock Abbey (National Trust), Castle Combe are medieval villages used for period drama. Caen Hill Locks, Devizes, Wells with its magnificient Cathedral and Bishops Palace, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. National Trust Properties are plentiful The Courts, Holt, Westwood Manor, Avebury, Dyrham Park and Stourhead are all recommended and of course Stonehenge (English Heritage). The city of Bristol with the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Brunels SS Great Britain and Tyntesfield is very accessible from Great Ashley Farm.
