Having lived less than half a mile from the front gates of Bryn Llys for the past 20 years it was in the summer of 2018 that we ventured down the long driveway for the first time. Even after that first short visit we were hooked having fallen in love with everything about it. The opportunity to buy Bryn Llys presented itself and we took the plunge…..with both feet! We have both lived in Snowdonia for the past 25 years. In that time we have worked and raised our family in the area and discovered many amazing places. We can offer a wealth of advice and ideas for activities and things to do in the local area whatever the weather. Working as outdoor instructors we also have a depth of knowledge and experience to help advise on more adventurous activities and enjoy helping guests make the most of their time in the area We feel incredibly privileged to be looking after Bryn Llys and we hope this comes across as we constantly strive to care for and improve this wonderful place for now and the future. Hafan is our beautifully converted self-contained cottage set in the 10 acre grounds of Bryn Llys. Once the mill and laundry for the farm they have now been converted to provide cosy accommodation for up to 4 guests. Perfect for a family, small group of friends or a quiet retreat for couples. Ground-floor accommodation consists of: kitchen/dining room, lounge, double bedroom. An en-suite wet-room has a shower and toilet. There is a twin-bedded en-suite bedroom on the first floor. An adjacent parking area gives convenient access to the cottage via a 1 in 12 ramp. The rooms on the ground floor are on one level and electrical switches can be readily accessed from a wheel chair. The spacious double height sitting room, complete with feature beams and mezzanine floor, is the perfect place to unwind in the evening, with plenty of room for everyone to sit back and relax. You will also have full access to our 10 acres of gardens, woodland, meadow and lake complete with breath-taking views of the stunning surroundings. There is loads to explore with plenty of quiet spots to sit and enjoy the wildlife.

Hafan is situated in the beautiful grounds of Bryn Llys as is a great location for all kinds of adventures. Bryn Llys is located in the scenic hamlet of Coed y Parc on the outskirts of the quarry town of Bethesda. Lying at the mouth of the Nant Francon Valley on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park it is easily accessed via the main A5 and A55 trunk roads. The location is an ideal base to access the mountains and valleys of Snowdonia and we are within a short drive of the stunning beaches of Anglesey and the North Wales peninsula. On your return from exploring the region you will be able to kick back and relax in the grounds, take in the mountain views and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Hafan is 5 minutes from the longest Zip wire in Europe at Zip World Velocity 2 and is also well placed for outdoor adventures -mountain walking, rock climbing, canoeing, cycling and many more. There is also plenty more to do in the are area including visiting stunning castles, riding narrow-gauge railways, exploring stately homes & gardens, or taking a leisurely coastal or valley walks.
