Little Hanger is a warm, cosy first-floor flat, formerly the coach house and stable block for the main house next door, reached by its own flight of external stone steps. It sleeps up to 6 guests across three bedrooms: a king-size double with en-suite shower room, a double with Juliette balcony, and a twin room, with a cot available on request. There is also a family bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin. The sitting room has a wood-burner (logs provided) and opens via large sliding patio doors onto Little Hanger's own private garden, with a terrace, barbecue area, table and chairs, and a lawn. The kitchen-dining area has a table and chairs seating up to six, and is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, under-counter fridge with small freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. A separate laundry room on the ground floor below has a washing machine, tumble dryer and space to store bicycles, prams and pushchairs. There's a TV in the sitting room and wifi throughout, with heating and electricity included. Bed linen and towels are provided. Guests also have use of an all-weather tennis court within the grounds. Dogs are welcome (maximum of one large or two small dogs per booking) for a supplement of GBP 20 each, though dogs should not be left alone in the property or allowed on furniture or in bedrooms. A highchair is available on request alongside the cot. Parking is provided about 80 yards up the drive, opposite the stable block. Please note Little Hanger is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility: the outside flight of steps is unavoidable, and there are three further steps down (with a handrail) to the bedroom area inside. Safety features include exterior lighting, smoke detector, carbon-monoxide detector, fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit.

Porlock is a historic village on the edge of Exmoor National Park in Somerset, in a sheltered vale between the moor and the Bristol Channel coast. Its heritage stretches back to Saxon times. The meandering High Street is lined with independent shops, including a traditional butcher, chemist, hardware shop, post office, two convenience stores, art galleries, a chocolate shop, and a cash machine. Most shops keep hours of 9am to 5pm, often extending during the summer season. The harbour hamlet of Porlock Weir is approximately one mile to the west and makes a lovely walk or a short drive. There you will find a 15th-century tidal harbour, a pub, restaurants, cafes, and independent shops and galleries. Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles away. Here you will find larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrisons on the outskirts with longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, and a range of other shops. EV charging points are available at Porlock Central Car Park.
