Orchard Barns are at the heart of an old Sussex village, yet right on the edge of open countryside. Our architect-designed eco-retreats face west, enjoying expansive views and capturing stunning sunsets throughout the year. The combine contemporary luxury with impeccable eco-credentials: being carbon neutral and offering fast EV charging on-site. The eco-retreats at Orchard Barns are also just a couple of minutes’ walk from the local 16th-century village pub.

I developed Orchard Barns as a design- and eco-conscious escape at the heart of rural East Sussex. It’s been a privilege to welcome so many great guests so far, and along with my team, we enjoy ensuring the spaces are impeccably clean and welcoming for everyone.

Cowbeech is a small village with a significant history. It’s been home to leading politicians and legal thinkers, along with a lady who was not only a suffragette, but the Old Bailey’s first female barrister, and a Titanic survivor to boot. Today, Cowbeech is nestled in the glorious East Sussex countryside, close to a burgeoning collection of vineyards and cultural highlights from leading art galleries to one of the finest opera venues in the world. The country pubs are pretty fine too, and one of them is merely a couple of minutes’ stroll away.
