The property is powered by hydro electric, installed in the 1950s! We have sourced as much as possible locally or British-made. The beds are made by a company in Glasgow and the duvets are all made with British Wool from Baavet. The interior wardrobes, bedside tables, kitchen and TV unit and shelves are all made by Monzie Joinery. Water is from a private spring which is treated by UV light and is delicious to drink - no chemicals here!
We have been hosting guests on the Monzie Estate for over four years. We have carefully restored five building on the estate and designed the interiors ourselves using beautiful British fabrics, bespoke furniture by our own joinery and expensive beds and bedding. We use Baavet for our bedding. Both my husband I had high flying careers before returning to Scotland and I spent ten years in the USA. We love seeing guests from all over the world and giving them some true Scottish hospitality!
Mill House is located on the stunning 4,000 acre Monzie Estate. We offer private tours of the castle to guests staying three nights or more and guests are invited to enjoy walks here. The estate straddles the highlands and lowland and close to lots of fantastic attractions, boutique shopping and excellent restaurants.
