From Pen Bonc watch the Lifeboat launch and seals and porpoises play from the garden. There is fishing off the rocks and swimming from the shingle beach. Moelfre village is picturesque and understated gem with a long maritime history. Stop for a sneaky treat on the sheltered shingle bay in the village and have an indulgent feast at Ann’s Pantry – plus the best cakes locally. There's the Kinmel Arms pub and Hufen Iâ Ynys Môn Anglesey Ice Cream makes batches in house using locally produced milk. To the north is Ogof Arian an old smuggler’s cave locally and you have such a choice of fine beaches spread in every direction -Traeth Bychan, Porth Yr Aber, Porth Helaeth and Traeth Lligwy. For a slice of history, there are 17 ancient monuments to visit - Din Lligwy and Lligwy burial chamber are the most famous and sit evocatively placed on the coast up the road. Or stay put and watch the sun set, glass of wine in hand.
