I had a one night stay here before heading to Holyhead the next moring and it might be one of the nicest places I have stayed in along time. The interior of the hotel is decorated to a high standard and every facility seems to have been thought about and is excellent. The owners even considered that fact that I might be arriving late and might miss their dinner service and advised to me to make sure to get dinner on the way if I was arrving late in the evening. A very tasty breakfast was available earlier than schedulled the next morning.

It was lovely to be in a small and friendly hotel. The room was excellent and the staff smiley, helpful and genuinely wanting us to have everything we needed. The room was comfy and quiet, even though next to the road. We only stayed one night, on comour way to the ferry but managed a beautiful walk through Menai Bridge.

The staff were excellent in all departments and tried to maintain high standards for customers satisfaction.. Even during a power cut in the evening when it was dark, due to a tornado,, the staff were helpful and professional, did not panic and dealt well in the situation. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

FAQs about hotels in Anglesey

A Haven of Wildlife

The small, yet geologically and ecologically important, island of Anglesey is off the north-western coast of Wales. Home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge while he is on RAF duty, the island is known for its rugged coastline, most of which is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Its largest town is Holyhead, set on smaller Holy Island and from where ferries to Ireland depart. Also on this island, Trearddur Bay has a Blue-Flag beach and one of the few Anglesey hotels with swimming pools. Another beautiful beach is found at Cemaes Bay on the main island’s northern coast.

Moelfre, further along the coast, is a sleepy fishing village, while Beaumaris in the east has a 13th-century castle partially surrounded by a moat and looking towards Snowdonia National Park on the Welsh mainland.

To the south-west the elegant Menai Bridge spans one of the narrowest stretches of the Menai Strait, separating Gwynedd from Anglesey. Another bridge makes the crossing in neighbouring Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch – the village with Europe’s longest name, though it’s usually abbreviated to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll which is still quite a mouthful.

Llangefni is in the centre of the island and in its district is Capel Coch, home to the only Anglesey spa hotel, available on Booking.com.

The owner of the hotel and the sous chef made a delicious top notch dinner, and we were so happy with our meal. The dinning room is very attractive and old school. Our room was nice and had a large bathroom which was great. We had a small window as it was on the top floor, but other than that we were pleased. The staff was very nice. Also the hotel is very convenient to the center of town, the water and an enjoyable walk up and down the boardwalk , and a fantastic nearby bakery just behind the hotel.

The Beach Motel exceeded my expectations, my ferry had been cancelled because of the storm and the staff were so so lovely organising for me to stay another night, and were able to keep me in the same room because I was travelling with a toddler. The room was so clean, and lovely and warm! The breakfast and the dinner were great, there was loads of space to park, and I really cant stress how fantastic the staff all are. I will absolutely be staying again!

Beaumaris is a must if you're visiting Anglesey.

Beaumaris is a must if you're visiting Anglesey. The town is compact and easily navigated from the castle at one end to the tidal beaches at the other. In between you will find something for everyone. Fish and chips for lunch, a Victorian pier for crabbing and accessing tours to Puffin Island, and lots of smiling faces. It doesn't matter what the weather is, there is always something to see and do.

Love this place - it's generally unpretentious and laid back. Some lovely cafes, restaurants and shops within the town itself. Obviously scenic with the straits and bridges and view over to the mainland and Snowdonia beyond. Just love watching the boats to-ing and fro-ing and the movement of 'the Swellies'. Some great boat trips directly from the jetty. Shame to see a few empty shops, but no different from many small towns these days. I like it better out of season. The local people are lovely, and interesting to talk to.

Fantastic bay with golden sands, rock and rock pools.

Fantastic bay with golden sands, rock and rock pools. The pay and display car park behind the beach has toilets. There's a small local store and lots of places to eat and drink. We liked the Little Indian Chef and the quirky Shanty Shack. In both cases the food was great and the portions generous. Lots to see and do on Holy Island and also on the rest of Anglesey. We stayed in the Rhodri apartment in the Cliff Apartments complex, converted from the old Cliff Hotel.

A lovely beach, although the fees for car parking are a bit excessive. Several places to eat - although some seem to require pre-booking and aren’t open all through the week. We had a lovely meal at the Beach Comber and Breeze Hill. Scenery is stunning and Benllech is close to many other attractions in Anglesey. Particularly enjoyed coffee and cake at Ann’s Pantry in nearby Moelfre. Only a short drive to Beaumaris which has many independent gift shops and cafes. We had a lovely morning there.

A fantastic place to stay! Really clear instructions as to how to access the guest house which made for a smooth start to our stay. Our room was very well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable - we slept very well! The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of delicious fayre.
