The Barn is a beautiful converted barn, just redecorated this Summer (2025) with a grand kitchen with Range master cooker, water softener system and exposed beams. Upstairs is a snug/TV room with view over the kitchen, while also benefiting of the wood burner. Your bedroom has a brand new Super king bed and mattress, all beddings and extra blankets available. It has its own en-suite charming bathroom. Outside is an enclosed garden, south facing, with a fire pit and a covered area to enjoy a the peace of the area sitting outside even on a rainy day! You also have access to our field for walks or just have a drink on the bench while watching the sunset. There is also access to our tennis court/basketball hoop. We provide rackets and balls.

We are a family of 4, James grew up in the US before returning to the UK in his late teens and I move to the UK from France over 25 years ago. We used to live in Bristol before having children. We love this area and are more than happy to advise you on where to go should you need to. I also run sewing workshops from my studio, on site, so if you wanted to book a workshop please let me know in advance so we can organise it. We live on the 4acres too so if you need anything we are easily available.

The Barn is located in a quiet Hamlet of Hankerton, yet 10min from Malmesbury Abbey, cafes, supermarkets (Waitrose and Co-op) and doctors surgery. We are also 15min away from Tetbury and the Arboretum, cafes and antiques shops. Charlton is your nearest pub which serves wonderful food, it is less than 5min by car but can easily be accessed on bikes. And of course, you can also visit Cirencester (20min by car) with its lakes activities and the shops and cafes in the centre of towns. The Cotswold is at your doorsteps but you are in your own private and quiet garden with a grand converted barn space to enjoy just for yourselves.
