"Martha Stuart" was the perfect host, making perfect breakfasts to order, offering suggestions, booking dinner reservations and keeping up with laundry. He gave us rides to town, kept our towels in stick and made our visit to Stirling perfect!

Room was clean and fresh - looked like it had been recently renovated. Breakfast was a delight. The coffee was quite good - my own little 2 cup French press. Stuart was accommodating with our earlier check-in and an overall treat to chat with.

The house was originally built around 1890 and has changed substantially over the years, with various extensions added. All bedrooms are freshly decorated, have en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, hangers for clothes, flat screen TV and fast wi-fi (speeds up to 166mbps) Ground Floor Room one: largest bedroom in the house. It has a UK king size bed and a single bed. The en-suite has a walk in shower. 1st Floor rooms (up one flight of stairs) All rooms have en-suite facilities. Room Two: UK king size bed. Room Three: UK king size bed. Room Four: Double Bed (this room is the smallest and usually the cheapest because of its size) The Dining room is located on the ground floor and has a seating area for you to relax if you don't want to stay in your bedroom. There is a fridge located on 1st floor landing which can be used to keep items cool. An Electric Type 2 Vehicle charger has been installed for guest use (charges apply) There are three parking spaces at the house but I have four rooms. If it's busy there is also free street parking on Buchanan Drive (30 second walk from house). Please ask me to help with luggage if required.
When I'm not in the guest house, I can usually be found running or mountain biking in the hills around Stirling or swimming in nearby lochs (summer only....). The house attracts visitors from all over the world and it's awesome talking about our adventures in life.
Love living here, the house is located in the Causewayhead suburb of Stirling, one mile from the railway station and city centre. it's a beautiful compact city with lots of historic buildings and stunning countryside. The National Wallace Monument is situated up on crags above Causewayhead (about 25 minute walk from house) and Stirling Castle is in the opposite direction, about half hour walk or a couple minutes in a car. The house is located on the main road leading up to the University of Stirling (which is just over 1 mile away with numerous bus services to and from the campus passing the house) Also has a modern city centre with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants about 1 mile from the house with an easy walk over the Old Stirling Bridge to get there. In the neighbourhood there is a lovely pub / restaurant with a beer garden (15 minute walk) and also a great Italian Cafe, just 10 minutes from the house.
