The Red Lion Inn is a family run business with friendly staff, offering all visitor a warm welcome in a relaxing friendly environment in which to unwind with a wholesome meal and some of our well-kept beers.

Property info

We have six en-suite guest bedrooms, available on a bed and breakfast basis. Comfortably furnished, our rooms are cleaned daily and offer the weary traveller a relaxing night's sleep. Then start your day off with a hearty breakfast of your choice. We have two rooms located on the first floor in the main building then four separate external rooms. All have 24 hour access to secure storage, and drying facilities together with 24 hour access ideal for night fishing. Diners can be assured of wholesome home cooked food, freshly prepared using locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

Neighborhood info

The Red Lion Inn Milfield is a classic stone building dating back to the late 1700's. Situated 6 miles north of Wooler it was originally frequented by the Sheep Drovers of the northern counties and soon became a major resting point for the Mail Stage Coach carrying passengers and mail between London and Edinburgh.
