The guest house is our full‑time job and the one we love most – we’ve poured a lot of care into creating a calm, quietly premium place to stay, where you can switch off and feel looked after. Whether you’re here for a special occasion, some sea air or just time out, we want The Rosedene to feel like a gentle pause button. We both came to Llandudno as children and fell in love with it back then, so it feels genuinely special to call it home now – we can’t imagine ever leaving. There’s something about the curve of the bay, the light on the Orme and the old‑fashioned seaside feel that still makes us smile every day. Sharing the town with our guests, and seeing it afresh through their eyes, is a big part of what we enjoy about hosting. Before The Rosedene, Mark built his own computer consultancy, and Andrea worked as a graphic designer. That mix of problem‑solving and design now goes straight into how we look after the house and our guests: clear, friendly messages before you arrive, and rooms that feel fresh, comfortable and thoughtfully put together. We notice the little things – a well‑fluffed pillow, a lamp in the right place for reading, a room that just feels settled when you walk in. We’re friendly and down‑to‑earth – close by if you’d like local tips or restaurant suggestions, and happily in the background when you just want peace and quiet. You’ll often find Oscar, our Yorkshire terrier, ready to say hello in the hallway – but only if you want to meet him – and he has a knack for making guests feel at home straight away. The Great Orme and the seafront are right on our doorstep – the goats, the tram, the cable cars and those long promenade walks – and we’re always glad to point you towards our favourite cafés and viewpoints so you can make the most of it all. The Rosedene sits in one of Llandudno’s loveliest spots – a quiet street just a short stroll from the Victorian promenade, sweeping bay and famous pier, so you’re close to the seafront without being right in the noise. Guests love how easy it is to wander down to the wide, two‑mile North Shore promenade for a morning walk, an ice cream on the pier or a traditional Punch & Judy show, then head back to calm, comfortable surroundings at the end of the day. A little further along the coast, West Shore offers big sandy skies, gentler waves and some of the best sunsets in town if you prefer somewhere quieter. The Great Orme rises at the edge of the bay and gives Llandudno much of its character. From here you can ride the historic tram or Britain’s longest cable car to the summit for huge sea views, spot the famous goats, explore Bronze Age copper mines or simply follow the cliff‑top paths around the headland. It’s all close enough to walk or reach in a few minutes by tram or car. You’re also well placed for food, drinks and culture. The town centre is full of independent cafés, traditional pubs, fish and chip shops and ice‑cream parlours, as well as some excellent restaurants tucked just off the main streets.
