Situated at Torcastle the property is accessed along a single track road, with a tunnel 20 Meters long (suitable for up to standard Transit van sized vehicles approximately 2 Meters high) under the Caledonian Canal . Situated 5 miles from Fort William in the Great Glen, you are ideally located to view Ben Nevis, explore Lochaber, try a variety of pursuits and see why Lochaber is called the “Outdoor Capital of the UK”. Three miles from the “Road to the Isles”, our location ensures good access to the west coast including Moidart, Ardnamurchan and ferry access to the Small Isles and Skye.The immediate area holds an abundance of wildlife and fauna such as Pine Marten, Red deer, Roe deer, Otter, Owls, Buzzard, Butterflies, Kingfisher and Orchid, mosses and lichens. Shepherd’s Rest is a 3 bedroom architect designed self-catering holiday house. The house is fully double glazed, under floor oil heating with radiators upstairs, supplemented by a wood burning stove in the living room.

We are in a rural location, no street lights or restaurants but only a 10 minute drive from Fort William so the best of both worlds.
