Smithy Cottage is a lovingly restored 18th Century former Blacksmith's Cottage in the heart of rural Perthshire.
Welcome to our cottage from us - we are Mark and Rachael Wood and our teenage son, Frederick. We love welcoming guests to our part of beautiful Highland Perthshire! There's so much to see and do. We've lived here for 16 years and know just about everything there is to know about local life, attractions, restaurants and outdoor activities. We can provide help and inspiration to make your stay very special. We always meet our guests in person and only live around the corner ourselves, so we're always on hand to give advice or answer questions. Do you need maps, tickets, skiing passes, hire equipment? We can help! Our welcome basket will be waiting for you to kick start your holiday and help you to unwind and relax. We even provide doggie treats for our four legged guests. Are you visiting to celebrate a special occasion? We can source Champagne, chocolates, flowers and more if needed to make your stay memorable. We look forward to meeting you!
Welcome to Kirkmichael in Highland Perthshire, Scotland! Guests visit us for many different reasons.... some like to simply relax in our private, mature gardens and read a book. If you sit very still you can watch the resident red squirrels and many species of bird. Some of our guests are more adventurous and take part in quad biking, white water rafting, skiing or bungee jumping! Many of our guests bring pets and we have lots of maps for local walks, of all lengths, straight from the door of our cottage. If you enjoy a bit of culture on your holiday, there are multiple attractions nearby, historical castles, museums, art galleries and of course, the V&A in Dundee. Whatever your interests there is plenty to see and do in Highland Perthshire.
