We had such a wonderful stay and honestly can’t recommend Beechwood Cottage highly enough. Paul (and Yogi 🐶) were exceptional hosts from the moment we arrived, warm, welcoming, and friendly, which made our stay very relaxing. The room itself was beautiful and stylish, with everything thoughtfully arranged and all the facilities you could possibly need. The bed deserves a special mention because it was incredibly comfortable! Easily one of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had away from home. One of the highlights was the breakfast delivered straight to our room. It was absolutely amazing and felt like a real treat to start the day. And we can’t forget the cakes from their bakery - absolutely delicious. We were also travelling with our dog, and it was great to have a safe and welcoming space where he could enjoy the stay just as much as we did. That made a big difference for us. All in all, a fantastic stay with lovely hosts, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon.

Nice village, many good walks available, The Cateran trails...

Nice village, many good walks available, The Cateran trails and the Kirkmichael Path Network offer circular walks of different walks with nice views. Didn't do the mini-Cateran trail to Lairs but it looked like it would be great. The village shop does good food and the Hotel has a welcoming bar. The road to Pitlochry is an interesting, picturesque drive.

Appalling - dirty, tired and one to avoid. The accommodation was nothing like the website. The pictures are from four years back when we last visited and it was a thriving business. The place was in a poor state of repair. Dirty and in need of a severe upgrade and paint. The room was very tired. The bathroom dirty with hair in the bath and a button on the floor. The bed was tired and difficult to sleep in comfort. The whole place was appalling and should not be used until upgraded.

The privacy of the site with outside seating as well as meticulous care taken with the indoor decor resulted in a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. There are not amenities nearby but the setting is a rural paradise and suitable for a couple looking for a short stay .

It has a good selection of walks nearby, a hotel in the village that does good food and drink and a well stocked local shop. Nearby Lodge Hotel has some fantastic lodges with hot tubs. Also quite handy for Blairgowrie and Pitlochry.

Kirkmichael is a quiet wee town but you have the mountains...

Kirkmichael is a quiet wee town but you have the mountains of glenshee to the east and Pitlochry to the west. And an amazing road between. Nice wee shop with cafe for everything you need. Great river walk from the village.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle. In the village are a few lodgings, a restaurant and a small local shop. The village is situated on the road between Blairgowrie and Pitlochry. This road takes you through beautiful countryside, but the road is very winding and mostly single track.

What a lovely cottage Glenburn is: very comfortable to stay in and tastefully decorated. Kitchen, lounge and bedrooms were all perfect. We just wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to book it again. We just felt at home instantly and were quite bowled over by how nice it was. Thanks to Ellie and her sisters. Kirkmichael village has many traditional old stone buildings which adds to its unspoilt charm. A peaceful friendly place.

Kirkmichael is such a lovely village and the cottage is situated by the river which is so attractive and the local shop is a minute away for breakfast rolls and supplies. We loved the small conservatory off the kitchen which overlooks the garden and the lounge was comfortable and cosy once the sun went down. Hosts were very freindly and met us at the cottage to give us a tour and hand over the keys.

The location was absolutely stunning. The deer roaming around the grounds were a joy to watch and the lodge was absolutely brilliant. Hot tub was very welcome after some long walks. Meal in the hotel was fantastic too.
