Hi I'm James and I run Taylor Estate Management, a Peak District based company specialising in the professional management of high quality holiday homes. My background is in hospitality operations, including working within the management team of the world’s busiest McDonald’s during the London Olympics, where delivering exceptional service, organisation and attention to detail was essential every day. I founded Taylor Estate Management to bring those same standards to holiday homes across the Peak District. My aim is to ensure every property is well presented, well maintained and carefully prepared for guests so that each stay is comfortable, smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Working closely with property owners, I focus on maintaining high standards across every part of the guest experience, from preparing homes before arrival to supporting guests during their stay. I believe that great holiday homes come from consistent care, clear communication and attention to detail. Baslow is a charming Peak District village known for its traditional stone cottages, welcoming pubs and excellent local restaurants. Just a short walk from the property, guests can enjoy a variety of places to eat and drink, from relaxed village cafés to well regarded country pubs. The village sits on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, with Chatsworth House, gardens and parkland only a short distance away. The surrounding area offers fantastic walking and cycling routes, with easy access to the beautiful landscapes of the Peak District National Park. The nearby market town of Bakewell is only a few minutes’ drive away and offers a wider selection of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. Baslow is also well located for exploring popular Peak District villages including Hathersage, Castleton and the Hope Valley, while Sheffield can be reached easily by car. With its combination of village charm, great food spots and easy access to some of the Peak District’s most famous attractions, Baslow is a fantastic base for exploring the area.
