Please keep dogs on a lead in the walking area, as it is home to swans, ducks, and grazing cows. **IMPORTANT PET POLICY** We happily accommodate two dogs on request (fees apply). Nearby Herne Bay features a lovely pier with beach hut shops and summer live shows. Historic Canterbury, just a 20-minute drive away, is home to the renowned Canterbury Cathedral. Seasalter beach is only a 2-minute walk, and Whitstable town is a short drive or a scenic hour-long beach walk (not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs). Other nearby towns, such as Faversham, Broadstairs, Sandwich, Ramsgate, and Margate, are easily accessible by car or public transport, with ample parking available. Kent, known as the Garden of England, boasts beautiful countryside, farmland, and sandy beaches, offering plenty of activities for the whole family.
