Swallow cottage is a 5* cottage in a beautiful rural setting. The cottage is in the perfect location with miles of countryside, and is a short drive to the Lakes, Dales and coast. Underfloor heating is always a hit with your canine companions, where they can laze once they have had a run in the spacious enclosed garden. Super fast B4RN broadband allows you to work from here, and be highly contactable if you wish (if not, switch off your phone a relax). Being a rural location, we have patchy mobile reception. We find that connecting to our super fast broadband via wi-fi calling means you are always contactable (should you wish to be). Swallow cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a home away from home.

Ryan and I live on site so are available should you require anything. We run a small, bespoke livery yard so you will see horses being ridden passed your door. We are a working farm and stables with free roaming dogs (who can not access the cottage or garden). As we have horses, they can be seen and heard in the fields around the cottage. We run a livery yard so there will be the owners of the horses attending between 7am and 10pm.

Swarthdale is a small hamlet of nine houses, 2 miles from Over Kellet. Carnforth is less than 3 miles away, where you will find supermarkets, pharmacy etc. We are a 15/20 minute drive from Lancaster, Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. The destinations I recommend to visit while here are Ingleton waterfalls, Silverdale cove, Arnside, Warton Crag, Ashton Memorial, Sizergh Castle, the choices are never ending.
