The cottage was incredibly quaint and cosy - we loved the fire and the location! Nancy was also an amazing host, and made our stay even better by recommending Lacock, which is such a wonderful slice of medieval England.

Step back in time and stay in your own little cottage, with a bedroom upstairs and living room and shower room downstairs. Although part of the family home the cottage has its own front door. Built in the late early 1800s the cottage has lots of original features.
Our interests include walking, gardening and we enjoy meeting people from both England and from around the world. We have a little Jack Russell cross called Flora who loves belly rubs
We are 15-20 minutes walk from the National Trust village of Lacock. Lacock Abbey was founded in 1232 by Ella Countess of Salisbury and lived there as abbess . Sir William Sharington purchased it after the dissolution of the monasteries and turned it into his country home. The abbey was inherited by the Fox Talbot’s and the last owner, Matilda left it to the National Trust in 1944. More recently the house has been used for the filming of the first two Harry Potter films and you’ll often see Potter fans wandering around the village in robes and scarves.
