Athenaeum is perfectly located just a 2 minute walk from Sunderland Central train station. If you are reaching us by coach or bus, we are a 7minute walk from Park Lane bus station. We have step free access to the property with a lift to get you to our floor.

Location - Roker beach 40min walk, 13min drive Stadium of light 20min walk, 8min drive Sunderland Empire 9min walk, 5min drive STACK Seaburn 57min walk, 12min drive Sunderland University City Campus – 10min walk, 5min drive Sunderland University St Peters Campus – 20min walk, 8min drive. Metro service from Sunderland Central to Newcastle Central approx. 30mins. Train service Sunderland to Durham 44mins Train service Sunderland to York 90mins Taxi and Uber – both are readily available in the city, along with several other local taxi services. We are a 2minute walk from the Museum and Winter Gardens. There is also an Omniplex cinema a 6minute walk away.
