The Barn Behind: Four Monkeys, Castleton. If you’re staying with us, especially on a weekend, it’s always best to book into Four Monkeys, as we fill up quickly, as do most of the pubs. If you need a taxi, it’s best to book sooner rather than later & there are no shops open after 6pm in the village. (We provide Bread, Butter & Milk in the barn) Entry via the Terraced Garden at the rear of the Four Monkeys Ground floor is bedroom with queen size mattress, foyer area can be used to stored bikes safely & dryly! Black out curtains in foyer area for warmth & privacy. Bathroom with shower, sink & toilet, heated towel rail. Up some rather steep stairs to a single level living area: lounge with views out the sky light to Mam Tor, kitchenette & breakfast nook with views to Lose Hill If you are lucky enough to stay a warm, sunny weekend- the Terraced Garden of the bistro will be open, customers of the restaurant dining & drinking outside until hopefully no later than 9.30pm. Amazing walks, great for climbing, biking & caving, visit one or all of the six pubs. Great views, cafes, restaurants and dining. Close to Chatsworth House, halfway between Sheffield & Manchester. The Barn Behind is right in the centre of Castleton with one off street car park, behind the restaurant with peek-a-views off to the surrounding hills. The Barn Behind is perfect for couples or solo travellers. No babies or pets sorry. Non Smoking.

Between Sheffield & Manchester, close to The Lady Bower, Buxton, & Chatsworth House The 272 bus is just around the corner, and Hope train station is 2miles/45 minute flat walk away.
