The Barn is a pretty stone building set in the heart of Timberscombe, offering charming single-level accommodation with wonderful high ceilings and traditional wooden beams. Sleeping up to 2 guests, it is ideal for a couple seeking a peaceful retreat.
The property comprises one bedroom with a king-sized bed, an open-plan sitting and dining room with a comfortable sofa, armchair and TV, a separate well-equipped kitchen, and a ground floor shower room. The entrance opens directly into the living space, with the bedroom at the far end and the kitchen and shower room beyond.
The kitchen is fitted with an under-counter fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, along with a good range of cookware, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Heating and electricity are included, with central heating throughout that can be adjusted to suit your preferences, plus reliable fibre broadband. Bed linen and towels are provided, and a hairdryer is available.
Outside, guests have use of an enclosed gravel courtyard with a large table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. The courtyard is shared with the owners' home next door, so guests may see them and their friendly Labrador, Rowan, coming and going; the owners are on hand nearby to offer advice if needed.
Parking is possible within the courtyard, though most guests prefer to park for free on the street for convenience.
One well-trained, small or medium-sized dog is welcome for a supplement of GBP 30, provided it is kept off the furniture and not left unattended. Please note the property is not suitable for children, and it is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for those with restricted mobility.
Check-in is from 4pm, with check-out by 10am.

Timberscombe is a quiet, attractive village set in a wooded valley on the eastern edge of Exmoor National Park, between Dunster and Wheddon Cross.
The village is centred around pretty stone cottages, a 13th-century church, and a community village hall, all surrounded by rolling farmland and ancient woodland. Timberscombe is ideally placed for exploring both the wild open moorland of Exmoor and the dramatic Somerset coastline, with the medieval village of Dunster just two miles away and the coast at Minehead only four miles to the north.
Village Amenities
Timberscombe is a small and peaceful village. There is a village hall hosting occasional community events, and the beautiful Church of St Petrock dates back to the 13th century. The village has no shop -- the nearest convenience stores are in Dunster (2 miles) or Wheddon Cross (3 miles), both a short drive away.
Nearby Shopping
Dunster, just 2 miles away, has a handful of independent shops, galleries, and cafes in its picturesque main street. Wheddon Cross (3 miles) has a small general stores and petrol station. For larger supermarkets and high street shops, Minehead is approximately 4 miles away and has Tesco, Morrisons, and Lidl, along with most everyday services. Taunton (30 miles) offers full town-centre shopping including major retailers.
