The location was amazing in many aspects. A very quiet town, and midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh, which made it ideal in terms of logistics.

The property was gorgeous, all very tasteful and very comfortable. Emelia met us with the keys and showed us the car parking. One lovely surprise was a breakfast hamper with fresh bread, cake, butter ,marmalade and fresh orange juice....

The Church Tower is converted church, where we have the top floor, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and of course the Tower itself
My name is John Burke, and I live in Ireland, but have been coming to Crieff for years, old the place and I hope you enjoying staying in our holiday home, the Church Tower
Here are some lovely restaurants that we would recommend for lunch or dinner: Glenturret Distillery – a short walk from the Church Tower along the river – it is the only Distillery in the world that has a Michelin star restaurant (2 stars in fact!), they are open Weds to Sunday for dinner and lunch, might be tough to get a table at this stage, but a tour of the distillery and visit to the shop is well worth it Gleneagles Hotel – iconic Scottish hotel (15 mins drive)– lovely bar for cocktails and would recommend the Strathearn Restaurant for dinner. World famous golf course, if you are into golf. Delivino’s – 5 min walk from The Church Tower, in Crieff town square – lovely spot for lunch or dinner Grandtully Hotel (45mins) near Aberfeldy, lovely for lunch or dinner, after a long walk The Taybank in Dunkeld - excellent restaurant for both lunch and evening dinner, great location next to the River Tay and in the gorgeous Highland town of Dunkeld THINGS TO DO Things to do in the area (can be done over a few days) From the Tower, walk up towards the Crieff Hydro and The Knock – lovely walk and great views across the Strathearn Valley Drive from Crieff to Aberfeldy and stop off at the Watermill Bookshop & Cafe in Aberfeldy (in the town, just off the main street) – it was voted once as one of Top 75 Bookstores in the world, really nice collection of books. Check out the Gallery space upstairs, downstairs there is an excellent spot for lunch (you will need to book to get a table or just wait – great daily vegetarian specials Stop for a coffee at the Cow & Parrot just at the traffic lights at Aberfeldy – superb coffee ! say hi to Jamie & Nicola – lovely couple you own and operate it From Aberfeldy continue towards Kenmore (wee village on the edge of Loch Tay), stop off at the Scottish Crannog Centre and learn what life was like living on Loch Tay in the Bronze Age – really interesting and well worth a visit
