The Loft at Craiglea is a private apartment on 2 levels adjoining the main house. It sits back from a quiet road right next to a big park with a safe children's playground, and 5 minutes walk to the foot of the local hills and golf course. Just a few minutes stroll down the road towards town, and you'll be in the heart of the village with lovely shops and cafes. Close by there are castles, the Cairngorm Mountains National Park, House of Bruar shopping emporium and beautiful lochs and glens. Plenty to do for families and some romantic spots for couples! The apartment has it's own sitting area on a terrace that is situated in the large garden bounded by a stream and pond.
I'm delighted to share my love of our home and property with our guests- it is a tranquil retreat but at the same time so close to so many wonderful sights and activities. I'm a doctor with grown up children and love to tend the garden and spend time crafting or taking time for a little drawing and painting, and just enjoying the peace of living in this lovely place!
Pitlochry was made famous by Queen Victoria who loved to visit during her reign; the railway brought prosperity and many visitors to the town and it is a well-loved place for people to come for short break or a longer holiday. During the year, highlights of tourist attractions are the Enchanted Forest during the whole of OCtober and the New Year's Day Celebrations and Ceilidh, where the whole main street is blocked off and turns into a giant dance floor with live traditional Scottish music! Edradour Distillery is close by, the smallest (and prettiest!) distillery in Scotland.
