We’re a family of four with two young children from the West Midlands. Every couple of months we escape there to switch off, slow down and enjoy proper family time together. For us, it’s all about simple pleasures - beach days at Barmouth Beach, lscenic walks, waterfalls, hikes with stunning views, and peaceful evenings back at the cabin. We also love exploring North and Mid Wales and all the fantastic things it offers. We want every guest to feel the same “home from home” feeling we do. That’s why we have a dedicated onsite cleaning team who take great care to ensure the cabin is spotless, fresh and welcoming for every stay. Comfort, cleanliness and a relaxing atmosphere are really important to us. This isn’t just a holiday let — it’s a place we genuinely love spending time in as a family, and we hope you’ll create just as many special memories there as we have.

Thistledonia is a beautifully presented, two-bedroom cosy cabin set in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, offering the perfect base for a relaxing and adventurous getaway around North and Mid Wales. The cabin has everything needed for the perfect self catering holiday with a large garden and decking area. The cabin features a fitted kitchen and a modern shower room, along with a large private decking area and garden, enclosed by hedging and enjoying afternoon sunshine—ideal for outdoor dining and unwinding. Surrounded by mountains, lakes, waterfalls and scenic walking routes, Thistledonia is also perfectly located for outdoor enthusiasts, with a mountain bike centre, waterfalls, walks which are all nearby and the coast/beach only a 20 minute drive away. Inside, the cabin offers an open-plan living and dining area, seating four guests.The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare anything from simple meals to a full three-course dinner, ensuring a self-catering stay is cared for. The living space includes a comfortable two-seater sofa and two armchairs, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring. Entertainment is well catered for with a Smart TV offering Netflix, Prime and Disney+, along with a DVD player and a wide selection of DVDs, plus board games, cards, chess and other family favourites. We have 2 bedrooms, one double bed room a bunk bed, with storage in both. The shower room is fitted with an electric power shower, toilet and basin. Thistledonia is located at the bottom of the village, the cabin benefits from exclusive access to a large private lawn and secure decking surrounded by hedges for an ideal time to relax with a drink, outdoor dining, or letting children or dogs play safely. There is parking for two cars directly in front of the cabin. The holiday village also offers excellent on-site facilities including a large children’s park, open green spaces, a small shop, launderette, and a café/bar serving food and drinks.
